Periwinkles may be good for those children who fit their cookie cut mold or if your child starts with them at a young age. They are not prepared for those children who enter daycare at an older age. Their attention to detail is poor, and their communiation is poor. They do not document incidents properly. Children have been injured in their care, and proper documentation was never offered. Their grounds are not kept in the winter months with salt or sand and the ice poses a huge safety risk to the children playing on their grounds. Although, in my opinion, they have potential, at the time my child attended, they needed to streamline their communication, and were not open to any conversations that made them feel defensive. The information that the frontline staff told parents was very different than the information passed on to the administrator. This makes problem solving about the needs of your child extremely difficult. They did not have proof to back up the claims they made.
